A regional amusement park, [Tsurumiku Attraction Park]—commonly known as —has fallen on hard times due to the emergence of powerful competitors and now faces the threat of closure.
Although it is barely managing to stay open, due to rural depopulation and a declining birthrate coupled with an aging population, the staff is small and consists almost entirely of seniors, leading to frequent sudden, unscheduled closures.
One day, a burly-looking man applied in response to a job posting that had been up for some time, even though the management had all but given up hope.
The man arrived with a group of friends, and when they declared, “If you provide us with basic food, shelter, and clothing, we’ll take over management ourselves,” the owner saw a glimmer of hope for turning the situation around and decided to completely overhaul the staff.
The men were given the park’s management office as a place to live. They made improvements to make it more livable and set out to manage the park 24 hours a day while working to streamline operations.
The owner, who had hoped “at least things would stabilize,” was overjoyed to see business gradually improving and ended up leaving everything entirely in their hands.
