In "Ballade For Maria", you control Jake Snipes, a detective from New York. Recently, terrible murders have been happening at a number of cities in the United States. An unknown killer seeks out women, brutally murders and mutilates them. As Jake investigates a missing person case for an actress he met at a party, the string of murders reaches his very city.
