The story is set in a tiny world sealed off on all sides by deep forest. One day, the protagonist, Burai, happens to wander into it by chance. With no way of knowing how to return to his own world, he begins a new life in the village.
Through school, his circle of friends steadily grows, and the fact that the village shrine maiden, Sakura Rin, is the same age as him helps Burai quickly grow accustomed to life there. But one night, his close friend Mine gives him a certain warning—one whose contents cast a dark shadow over the peaceful existence he has found in the village...
