Mahou Shoujo wa Kiss Shite Kawaru ~Aite ga Kare Igai no Hito da Nante...~

The protagonist, Kiriya Kento, has recently become romantically involved with his childhood friend, Minakami Iori. They have always known each other's feelings, and now that they are officially a couple, they enjoy happy days together. On a holiday about a month after they started dating, Kento decides to take Iori on a date with the intention of sharing their first kiss. They spend a fun time together, feeling the different atmosphere compared to when they were just friends. As they walk home at dusk, a huge object falls from the sky with a thunderous noise just as Kento embraces Iori to kiss her. Tentacle-like appendages reach out towards the pair, and Kento is impaled while protecting Iori. As he tells Iori to run, a man appears, offering to save Kento's life if Iori agrees to become a magical girl and fight the monster. Confused, Iori eventually accepts the man's proposal, wanting to save Kento. In his fading consciousness, Kento sees Iori kissing the stranger and being enveloped in light.
