Hasuya♂
蓮也
Description
Onii-chan—better known as "Hasuya."
A college student with a permanent scowl and practically no friends. He barely showed up to class to begin with, and ever since he started working the night shift at a convenience store, he goes even less.
Ever since he was born, he's been able to perceive the colors of people's emotions and hear the thoughts running through their minds. Once, he used that ability against someone he hated and ended up driving them to a suicide attempt.
The guilt still haunts him, but even so... he can't bring himself to like people.
Because he can read what's inside them, he trusts almost no one. The only person he's ever truly opened his heart to is his little sister.
Just when it seemed like his future was headed nowhere, the light novel he submitted to a contest unexpectedly won an award, launching his career as a professional author.
It should have been a happy ending, but the attention around him quickly became tainted with curiosity and jealousy.
For someone as painfully sensitive to other people's emotions as he is, it marked the beginning of a living nightmare.
He's so afraid of other people that he can't help looking down on them in his head. It's a bad habit.
